Hello. I figured that I needed to follow up the 1942 review with a much better game.
GAME: 1943: The Battle of Midway CAPCOM
YEAR RELEASED: 1987
TYPE: Vertically Scrolling Shooter
WHAT I THINK:
1943: The Battle of Midway has been one of those games that seems to have become a staple during my childhood, and I like to revisit it often as an adult. It doesn't require a lot of your attention and you can grab the controller, play for five minutes and then drop it just as fast. The music is much better, this time around. The sounds are still not that great though, and you get to listen to them throughout the entire game!
With all of that said, it is still a ridiculous game, and a lot of fun to play for approx.1-100 minutes. Do yourself a favor and get a turbo button though. This one will also wear your fingers out.
