Hello,
Today was supposed to be the third in a series of practice posts, but something happened to the little red shoe (Civic). About a month ago, it stalled on the highway and I parked it, and put it out of my mind for about a month. Well, the other day, I finally started making the effort to figure out what the problem was. I put it off long enough. After some investigation and troubleshooting down the wrong path, I checked the timing belt. Ohhh no! Indeed, it was snapped and I was sad.

If you know about Honda, then you know they are interference engines. If the timing belt goes, your chances of catastrophic engine damage are pretty high. I was going to pull the head, but a wise mechanic (my dad) told me "just put a new belt on and see what happens. You have a 50/50 shot." I agreed, and began the project.
To be continued.
Until next time,
-Jason
